More about our guest – Hilary Jacobson:
Hilary Jacobson is a Swiss-certified Holistic Lactation Consultant, Hypnotherapist, and author. Her books include Mother Food: A Breastfeeding Diet Guide with Lactogenic Food and Herbs; Healing Breastfeeding Grief: How mothers feel and heal when breastfeeding does not go as hoped, and A Mother’s Garden of Galactagogues: Growing and using milk-boosting herbs and foods from around the world.
Hilary’s first love was music. She studied the flute in Switzerland, where she taught and performed. She began researching the use of foods and herbs for lactation when her own supply was low. She later made this study the centre of her life—whilst raising four children.
Hilary was present in the early days of the Internet, and a founder of the first online group for mothers with low milk supply. Today, Hilary teaches mothers and healthcare practitioners dietary and herbal wisdom for lactation, and also holds courses on healing trauma.
